This is a space for collaborative creation and editing of the next Grand Council report to the Board of Directors.

The current assigned topic is increasing membership in the SCA, with the stated additional goal of increasing revenue from membership. Major subtopics considered include:

Conversion of current non-member participants to members

- increasing benefits of membership by adding perqs

- increasingly restricting activities available to non-members

Increasing the total pool of participants

- Society oficers as a resource for recruiting techniques and/or materials

- Emphasis from "the top" on the importance of demos and other recruiting activities

- Increased emphasis on providing emotional and educational support for new participants

Increasing the perqs of membership in order to add value to membership

- Rebundle TI

- Affinity programs such as group health/life insurance or credit cards

- Providing some form of franchise for members in selecting or influencing the selection of at least a part of the BoD

Removing or reducing percieved barriers to membership

- Increasing perceived accessability of the BoD

- Investigate reasons for participating non-members remaining non-members

Retention of current members/participants

- Investigate reasons why members/participants leave the SCA .
