Instructions from the Board on how to report. Sent to all committees. Email addresses removed.
Greetings Again Officers and Committeemen.
I need to clarify two issues.
Issue number one--Reports
Below is the list of officers and committees who are expected to submit
reports which are received by the Board:
A President
B Vice President of Operations (Society Seneschal)
C Vice President for Corporate Operations (Corporate Office/Registrar)
D Society Treasurer
1 Society Exchequer
2 Finance Committee
3 Investment Committee
E Secretary
F Executive Assistant to the Board of Directors
G Vice President for Communications
1 Society Chronicler
2 Corporate Publications Manger
a Tournaments Illuminated Editor
b Compleat Anachronist Editor
3 Electronic Publications Manager
H Laurel Sovereign of Arms
I Society Marshal
J Society Arts & Sciences Minister
K Chirurgeon General
L Standing Committees
1 Grand Council
2 Legal Committee
Take heart--if you are not on the above list, you should not submit a report
to the Board of Directors. However, you are expected to submit a report to
your superior which, in turn, is included in his report to the Board. So
please send it in early!
Issue number two--Emailed Reports
As explained earlier, the sooner your report is in the hands of the
Directors, the more time they have for review. It is therefore to your
advantage to email a copy of your report to directors@sca.org. However, (a)
reports must be submitted in writing to the corporate office, or the
Directors will not act upon them, email or no, and (b) emailed reports to
directors@sca.org is requested, but not required.
There is a second reason for this request. Society Seneschal Lee Forgue is
charged with writing a quarterly report which goes to her Kingdom Seneschals
plus anyone who subscribes to the Board minutes. Also, I need to prepare
the same sort of outline for the meeting's minutes. To save time and
increase efficiency, when a quarterly report is emailed to us, we use "cut
and paste" to prepare an outline prior to the Board meeting. Lastly, as a
"just in case" measure, it never exactly hurts to send an additional email
copy to Renee Signorotti (reneesca@pacbell.net). Bottom line, you are doing
us all a favor if you email a copy of your quarterly report--but again, it
is not required.
That's it for now. If you have any further questions, please do not
hesitate to let me know.
Most cordially,
Andrew.
