Report from the Grand Council: October, 2001

To the Directors, Greetings.

Dafydd ap Owain ap Cadell has accepted the position of Secretary of the Grand Council, succeeding Galleron de Cressy.

Items Requiring Board Action

Methods of Membership Polling:
Peter the Uncertain has put assembled a survey of membership polling methods on behalf of the Grand Council. The Grand Council asks the board to please read this research material, as it is an excellent and comprehensive text summing up a great deal of research and discussion.

Commendations

The Chairman of the Grand Council would like to recognize the following: Galleron de Cressy for his work as Secretary of the Grand Council. Peter the Uncertain for his organizational work on Membership Polling.

General Status Report

This quarter the Grand Council finished its discussion of methods for collecting and evaluating member feedback. Peter the Uncertain has compiled all their efforts into a comprehensive survey, and Morgan Cain has provided a working comparison in chart form. An In depth report has also been sent to the Board should they wish to look more deeply at the methods discussed. These works are the result of more than half a year¹s work on the part of the Grand Council. The last portion of this quarter also saw significant discussion about the so-called ³Pennsic Accord². No consensus has been presented on that topic.

Publishable Report Summary

The Grand Council has provided the Board with a comprehensive survey of methods for collecting and evaluating member feedback.
